Description
Livestock farming, environment, and local products. From the Associació de Ramaders de Bestiar Boví de Raça Menorca, we offer an understanding of the relationship between livestock farming, the environment, and local products through guided tours of two “llocs” and the discovery of the red Menorcan cows, as well as a field notebook with activities specially designed for students in the second cycle of primary school. The notebook can be started in the classroom and is complemented by visits to the association's farms. The aim is to raise awareness of the values surrounding the native breeds of Menorca through the Menorcan cow. The farms are Santa Cecília, in Ferreries, and Algendaret Nou, in Maó.
